Healthy Teen Habits
Eating healthy is usually a lost cause when it comes to teenagers, but it shouldn't be. Vitamins and minerals are important for all bodies, but this may be especially true during adolescence when bones are growing and hormones are changing. Skipping meals can make it difficult for a teen to stay awake in class or perform in other activities. When your teen skips a meal or makes unhealthy food choices, their body may not have the energy it needs. Teens should be encouraged to exchange sweets, sodas and salty snacks for meals with more vegetables and fruit in them.
