Things You Can Do Today to Feel Better Tomorrow
Getting 30 minutes of physical activity most days of the week can help reduce blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and can help you maintain a healthy weight. In addition, it can help prevent cancer, diabetes and heart disease. According to the CDC, “Physical activity can reduce pain and improve function, mobility, mood, and quality of life for most adults with many types of arthritis including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and lupus.” If you find it hard to fit 30-minute workouts into your schedule, you can break it up into three 10-minute workouts. Activities like walking the dog and taking the stairs instead of the elevator can count towards your exercise time.
