Health Benefits of Running

Running Can Improve Sleep

Despite how important sleep is for our health, over a third of Americans report getting less than the recommended amount of sleep every day. It is estimated that between 50 and 70 million Americans struggle with a sleep disorder. People with conditions like MS and cancer often experience a reduced quality of sleep due to disease activity and treatment. Exercise won’t solve your sleep problems immediately, but there is mounting evidence that sticking to an exercise routine pays dividends for your future sleep quality. Remember not to exercise right before going to bed, as it may prevent you from falling asleep quickly.
