Breast cancer occurs in the cells of the breast of both women and men. After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women. Death rates for breast cancer are lower than many others types of cancer, but it is so prevalent that it led to an estimated 234,580 new cases and 40,030 deaths in the US during 2013.
