Arthritis and Cancer Spread may be Linked
Inflammation is at the heart of so many conditions, including cancer. This is a well-established fact. A recent study shows that arthritis and breast cancer spread (metastasis) may also be linked.
Arthritis Drug may be Effective in Treating Cancer
Liver cancer isn't one of the more treatable cancers. That could be changing, though. Scientists have discovered that the common anti-inflammatory drug - Celebrex (celecoxib) - makes liver cancer cells commit suicide. This is just the latest finding showing that Celebrex may be useful in treating a number of different cancers.
Anti-Inflammatory Drug Also an Anti-Cancer Drug?
Inflammation is thought to play a role in the development and growth of cancer. Researchers have now discovered that treating inflammation may help fight breast cancer.
